Nichebot, is one of my favorite sites for quick and dirty keyword searches and other optimization tools. Its wordtracker tool in particular is very handy for providing alternative keywords and idea’s for new web pages. It’s easy enough to type a keyword into the text box and do a search but let’s take a moment to understand the data that’s collected.
In the first column we have the keyword or phrase, which needs no explanation, and then we have four other columns. This count represents the total number of times the keyword or phrase has been searched for over the last 60 days. Then you have the total number of pages listed in Google for that keyword or phrase, the competition for dominance in that keyword, and the ratio of pages per search.
All of that data is self explanatory and if used wisely can become invaluable to base your pages around. If you signed up for a free account you also have the option to save your keyword to a “keyword basket” you can then export or download a file of your keywords to do further research on. It could be very useful for domain traders to download this list, take out the spaces and look for domains reflecting the exact keyword combinations.
The real benefits in using the Nichebot site, is not just the tools, but the fact you can get a number of results fairly quickly as it appends your keyword or phrase onto the end of the URL’s and passes it to the various scripts. It’s great to be able to keyword overture figures, keyword analysis and rankings on the fly. Unfortunately at the moment, I couldn’t get the dictionary feature to work as intended, and I’m unsure what the problem is with that tool.
There are so many keyword services on the net, its good to find a site that combines all the best tools into a simple interface.
